About South Australia

South Australia (commonly abbreviated as SA) is a state in the southern central part of Australia. With a total land area of 984,321 square kilometres, it is the fourth-largest of Australia's states and territories by area, which includes some of the most arid parts of the continent, and is home to 1.8 million people. It is the fifth-largest of the states and territories by population. More than 77% of South Australians live in the capital Adelaide or its environs.

Once you leave the coast and head inland, the arid climate and beautiful ranges offer some of the most incredible sights Australia has to offer. The Flinders Ranges, Gawler Ranges and Mount Remarkable National Park are all stunning. You could spend months just exploring South Australia.
